La Liga Spain

La Liga is the top division in the Spanish football league system, the campeonato nacional de la Primera Division. It is also called the Primera Division. English-speaking countries refer to it as La Liga. The league’s official name is LaLiga Santander, but it is stylized as LaLiga. It is the men’s professional division of the football league system.

The Spanish National League is divided into two divisions, the top and the bottom. While teams in the top division usually lock up the top two spots early, clubs in the bottom division are busy checking the capacity of their stadiums and hoping not to be demoted. The elimination series is played during the month of July or August, and is often accompanied by heavy television coverage. It is also broadcast on Spanish TV. This way, fans and players from all over the world can watch the games.

The top Spanish soccer teams play against 20 teams from different regions. The teams play twice a week, once in their home stadium and once away. The top team is crowned champion. The bottom three teams in the first division are relegated to the second division of Spanish football, and the top three teams in the second division are promoted to the top. The final table is held in late October. In May, the champion of LaLiga is determined.
