Primera Division Mexico
The Primera Division de Mexico is Mexico’s top professional football division. It is administered by the Mexican Football Federation and is currently made up of 18 clubs, with plans to add two more. The top division is the most popular league in the world, so it’s easy to see why. Whether you’re a fan of soccer, American football, or just enjoy watching football.
Liga MX has something for you. The competition is held from July to May. There are five teams, and eight teams make the cut. The championship is decided by a play-off between the runners-up in the regular season and the winner of the Clausura. The winner of each tournament is the first team to reach the next stage of the competition. The winner of the playoffs is named the champion of the championship. While the winning team from each group gets an automatic promotion, the other two are determined by the results of the playoffs.
Although the championship is won by the winners of the regular season, the playoffs feature two-legged ties that decide the champion. Those two games are then played in the finals, with the winner determined by the goal aggregate of both games. The lowest place team falls to the second tier of the Mexican Football System, Ascenso MX, and the highest placed team of the previous season moves up the ladder to the top.
