Ligue 1 France

Ligue 1 is a professional men’s football league in France. It is the top level of French football league system. Teams in the league compete for the title of “champions”. For sponsorship reasons, the league is officially known as Ligue 1. The competition is made up of both top and lower divisions. It is also known as the Uber Eats of football. Currently, it is the primary competition in France. However, there are some other football leagues in the country.

In the first season of the National league, twenty clubs were present. These clubs were divided into two groups of ten, with the bottom three relegated to Division 2. The top three from each group would play in the final, held at a neutral venue. During the first season, the National league was called Division 1. After this, it was renamed Ligue 1. But even in the first season, the competition was still considered highly competitive.

In the first season, the trophy was replaced by a cup. The competition consisted of 20 teams playing each other at home and away. Each team had 38 games during the season, and the result was based on the points a team has earned. A win or a draw earns three points and a tie gives one point. Paris Saint-Germain topped the league table in 2015-16, collecting the most points in a single season.
